About the Role:

Portfolio Method is looking for a Social Media & Podcast Production Intern to assist with producing The Time I Left My 9 to 5 Podcast—a show focused on career transitions, entrepreneurship, and redefining success. While Portfolio Method has grown to 80K+ followers across social media, we need help expanding our newly launched podcast.

This podcast is a new venture from Maggie (@maggieindata), a content creator and entrepreneur in the tech space.

This is a part-time hybrid role (15-20 hours per week) based in Toronto. Some tasks can be done remotely, but weekly in-person collaboration is expected. Filming and recording will take place in Toronto studio.

What You’ll Do:

🎙️ Guest Research & Coordination

• Identify and reach out to potential podcast guests

• Schedule interviews and manage communication

• Research guests to craft insightful, tailored questions

• Prepare interview prep notes with key background info

🎬 Podcast Post-Production

• Light video editing to assemble podcast footage

• Use Descript (AI-powered editing tool) to refine conversations

• Write engaging introductions for each episode (to be filmed post-production)

• Identify standout clips for social media promotion

📈 Content Strategy & Research

• Research trends in podcasting & social media to suggest improvements

• Analyze viral content to help optimize promotion strategies
